Damkunst has published a new book: Damkunst: Season 1. This English-language volume contains eight analyses that were published during the first season on damkunst.nl. The book comprises 200 pages, is printed entirely in full color, and includes photographs in addition to analyses. Readers are presented with a diverse collection of games in which world-class players demonstrate their skills. Topics covered include the semi-open classical opening, encirclement of the flank attack, the Keller system, the Vos variation, an edge-piece system, and various attacking and containment systems.
The analyses were written by Ben Provoost, Jan Groenendijk, Martijn van IJzendoorn, Wouter Sipma, Alexander Baliakin, Alexander Shvartsman, Rob Clerc, and Mark Podolski. The editorial team consisted of Tjeerd Harmsma, Ben Provoost, and Ronald Schalley. As such, Damkunst: Season 1 is both a collection of attractive top-level encounters and a textbook for draughts players who wish to deepen their positional understanding.
The book is published in A5 format.
