"Minimal Prep, Maximum Understanding"

Tired of memorising endless theory? Then it’s time for a smarter approach. This repertoire is designed for the lazy (but clever) player – someone who values understanding over rote memory. Inspired by Chebanenko’s idea of building systems based on typical structures, this course gives you a practical,
idea-driven setup for Black that’s easy to remember and difficult to play against.

We focus on setups based around a solid pawn on d6. Against 1.e4, we play the Philidor, and against closed openings, we choose between ...Be7 or ...Bg7, always aiming for ...e5. You’ll face familiar positions game after game, develop pattern recognition, and gain a deeper understanding of key plans and pawn breaks.

Perfect for blitz, rapid, or even classical games, this system keeps prep simple – while giving you rich, flexible positions. Save time, surprise your opponents, and play openings you truly understand.
